Shepard has another ear infection!

Well this morning was spent at the doctors and shepard got another antibiotic. He has an ear infection in the right ear but he seemed to pull at his left one mostly. After the doc pulled a clump of earwax the size, color, and consistency of one piece of cocoa krispies, I can understand why. His left ear is clear. He was just at the doc's office last month and he's going back in two weeks for his one year well visit. He doesn't seem to be in much pain just a little fussy. He was really screaming after his nap on Thursday.

Anyway I'm slowly weening shepard off the formula. The geek in me has figured out that I need 24 more scoops to finish off the week. That way I know what size can to get - the big one has 93 scoops. Of course I finally get a coupon from kroger for the big size - i can't tell you how many useless coupons i get for being a plus customer. i thought they were tracking what i bought. i guess after 11 months of not using the enfamil coupons they decide to try the similac. good job kroger! i know that every age is a phase of life and once you get used to one phase, it changes. someone once told me that the only ones who like change are babies with wet diapers. well apparently that isn't always the case with shepard. he probably wants to change his own diapers! samantha was so laid back that i could sing her songs and tell her silly things when we got dressed in the morning. with shepard i'm singing hallelujah after getting some clothes on the boy!

of course now samantha has a routine of saying no to the first five outfits i ask her if she wants to wear them. who wrote that we should allow two years olds to have some choices in their life! i thought it was supposed to help them feel more in control not mommy feeling more frustrated!
